In 1866 klondyke fever broke out in Mosjøen - This small town in the middle of Norway. A large Sawmill established itself and Mosjøen became the meeting point for English timbermerchants, the forresters from Odalen, Swedish mountain farmers bartering their goods and with these tailors with influences from London and Paris.
Brønnøysund is the seaside town in the heart of Norway - between Lindesnes and the North Cape – and is located in the Brønnøy municipality in south Nordland.
Mosjøen is the oldest town in Helgeland and the second oldest in Nordland. It is situated in Vefsn municipality where the population is approx. 13,450, of whom about 10,000 live in the centre of Mosjøen.
Sandnessjøen is the administrative centre of Alstahaug municipality and lies on the Alstenøya island, the largest of the about 1100 islands in the municipality.
