This island is perfect for excursions and given its flat terrain is ideally suited to cycling. To get to the island of Ylvingen you can either take the express boat from Brønnøysund or ferry from Horn. From the ferry landing on the north of the island, a road leads 6 km southwards and you will pass the historic World War II fortress.
